It has felt like an eternity, but cigar aficionados the world over will finally be reuniting in Havana at the end of this month to celebrate the 23rd edition of the Habano Festival. We can’t wait to see you there!
Initially slated for February 2022, you could hear the collective sigh of disappointment echoing from all corners of the world as Habanos S.A. informed Cuban cigar lovers that it would be forced to postpone the festival once again due to Coronavirus and travel restrictions. For those of us that consider this festival to be so much more than just a festival, but rather an opportunity to share incredible moments with truly special people, it was a bitter and saddening blow, but we knew that, once everything was finally up and running, it would be a spectacle for the ages.
Now, having announced the dates in early November 2022, the XXIII edition of the Habano Festival is only a matter of days away, and we cannot wait to see you all there. If this is your first time attending, or if you're planning on living vicariously through us, what should you expect?
Well, beautiful weather, incredible cigars, and wonderful people, for starters. The festival is spread out over the course of five days, beginning on February 27th and concluding on March 3rd. Throughout the festival, over 80 exhibitors will be showcasing their products and services as part of the trade fair, with thousands of people expected to be in attendance. There are a host of factory visits and of course, an excursion to the plantations—this year is the famed Pinar del Rio province—where guests can see the cigar making process from start to finish.
Key note speeches, conferences and events will be taking place all throughout Havana, and for cigar lovers, of course, exclusive news on launches, novelties and releases for the year from your favourite brands including Cohiba, Romeo y Julieta, Partagas, Montecristo and many more. It all culminates in a Gala dinner, which is, simply put, the cigar event of the year. All in all, it is an incredible and unmissable experience, and we cannot wait to see some familiar faces, as well as new ones.
