Lazurit is the first limited edition released by Despot Cigars in tribute to the Serie J, the brand’s inaugural line. Measuring 192 mm x 52 ring gauge, it stands as the longest and widest format in the entire Serie J collection, crafted for a truly extended and immersive smoking experience.
The name “Lazurit” draws inspiration from lazurite, the mineral that produced ultramarine—the purest and most coveted blue pigment of the ancient world. This extraordinary hue symbolised purity and nobility, adorning Byzantine frescoes and the garments of the elite across ancient civilisations.
Lazurite was also treasured as a gemstone. One of its most iconic uses is found in the funerary mask of the young pharaoh Tutankhamun, where it was set into solid gold to create one of history’s most celebrated artefacts.
